Constant involuntary sculpture is a project that consists of an installation of three paintings, a video projection mapping two videos, and two sculptures. The project explores the encounter of different mediums, painting and video; to break down the illusion of space on a flat surface created by the two-dimensional image. The installation seeks to multiply the meaning of images, and override uniformity of architectural space. This project has its origin in abstraction as a conceptual practice. Abstraction not only as survey about form and materiality, but also as a mental process; thereby in Constant involuntary sculpture language is used as a modelling matter, where the word “Sculpture” is set as a destabilizing element to allow communication between physical and mental space.
